Chinese Inlayed CaneA magnificent Chinese walking stick that we acquired years ago out of a gentlemans collection. The cane was a gift to a missionary at his departure from the orient. Made of Huali wood with an ebony handle the stick seems at first glance merely an elegant cane. Upon closer inspection an incredibly detailed proverb is inlayed into the wood in thin silver wire running in four columns , comprising 100 characters. The proverb speaks of a long and happy life. Measures approx. 3 feet and has a nickel silver band & tip.
